Keith Thomas, a ‘super-producer’ who has numerous Grammy nominations and several Dove awards for his production and songwriting prowess has agreed to develop Rachel Farley as an artist.

Keith has worked with such artists as Faith Hill, Wynonna, Amy Grant, Venessa Williams, Deana Carter, Reba McEntire, Luther Vandross, Trisha Yearwood, and of course, one of NashvilleHype!‘s favorite and most covered artists Rissi Palmer who was kind enough to place us in her album cover “thank-you’s”. He’s also worked with numerous other well known artists.

Keith has also won 5 Dove Awards and been nominated for 7 Grammy Awards including one win for producing “Different Lifestyles” by BeBe and CeCe Winans. He co-wrote and produced the multi-Grammy nominated “Saved The Best for Last” by Vanessa Williams (one of my all time favorite songs, performances, and productions). Many of the Grammy nominations were for producer of the year.

Rachel is an artists we’ve had here on NashvilleHype! numerous times. She’s young, hard working, and professional. Her talent is evident, as well as her drive to make it.

Rachel is in town now to perform (along with Jacob Bryant – more on him later!) at the Wildhorse Saloon as part of the ‘Can You Duet’ tv series CMT is producing. She’s also taking several meetings while in town, one with A&R at EMI. Rachel has a number of shows upcoming in her hometown (in Ga.) and beyond.

Keith’s approach with Rachel will be to take it slow, let her develop naturally, all the while recording various songs in order to get a good feel which direction she wants to go in. Despite the meetings taking place this week, there isn’t a huge rush to be signed and ‘famous’ (and even the being famous part isn’t really the goal).

Beginning in March, Rachel and Keith will begin recording in his studio in Franklin – we’ll keep you up to date of course as things progress in her career.
