Okay, so many of you know we here at NashvilleHype! love, love, love ALL of our artists that we have onsite. One of my personal favorites is one that I have personally dubbed as “my favorite rowdy cowboy”. He and his entire band are absoluteley superb!! Who is this mystery talent that I speak….wait, write of?? Kelly Ray Davis .
He has, in the last few days, let all of his close fans know that “He is putting his life in perspective.”
Some of you may recall the wonderful job they did for us at “The SuperCell of Benefit Concert” which raised money for the devastating tornado victims in early February. We were very honored as they gave thier travel time and efforts to help those that need it!
So, I am pleased to hear several things from Kelly:
“I AM PUTTING OUT AN ALBUM WITH MY DUO PARTNER RODNEY CRISP ON A LABEL AS WELL AS A VIDEO THIS FALL…… ALL OF THAT IS JUST PART OF WHO I AM . THERE IS KELLY RAY DAVIS ( THE WAYNE CO ROCKSTAR) AND THERE IS THIS OTHER PERSON THAT IS JUST PLAN OLE KRD!”
He also states:
“I FEEL FOCUSED AND STRONG ABOUT MY MUSIC CAREER ROLLING HARDER THAN EVER BEFORE!!!! SO THE NEXT TIME YOU GUYS COME OUT TO SEE ME AT A SHOW…… COME UP AND HAVE A TALK WITH ME AND LET THE REAL KRD INTRODUCE HIMSELF…… HE AINT HALF BAD!!!”
I hope that this road heavily traveled by these fellas is beginning to at least be paved and not still graveled, but we need to keep our eyes and ears open for him, as we continue to mention and watch his success!!
Paul here: I got to hang out with Kelly Ray this weekend. He was in town meeting with 2 major labels and his publisher, Mike Kinnamon of Music Central. The meetings all went really well and he has several huge things in the works. With his new album coming out, and his song “Out Wayne Thang” in heavy rotation back home in West Virginia, not to mention having The Road Hammers open for HIM, plus! packing out shows by as much as 4,000 fans (and averaging 700!), plus regularly having over 3,000 legitimate plays on his MySpace page everyday on average - there’s just no doubt his time is coming. NashvilleHype! has been saying it a long time, KRD is the Real Deal. Just get ready ya’ll.
