Ashlee Hewitt, a NashvilleHype! regular and a contestant on this years Nashville Star, has released several new songs on her myspace. Included is an exclusive version of “Mike’s Hard Lemonade“, which she performed as her original song on the show. This version is her doing it live in the studio with Blair Garner - and it’s the first time that most have been able to hear the whole song.

Ashlee continues to perform on a regular basis and has a mini-tour of her home state of Minnesota coming in the next few weeks. In addition to “Mike’s“, she has also released “Calling Home Again” and “Right About Now” (which is a song I’ve always loved).
During the show she had “Big Sky Blue” on her site and it scored huge plays. There’s definately a pent up demand for Ashlee and her music, and I’m hearing rumblings of disappointment that the ‘powers that be’ haven’t jumped on the immense opportunity that has presented itself to take Ashlee to an audience that clearly wants her music. But have no fear. It’s coming soon.
