And The Winner Is…

Written by Paul on April 6, 2008 – 4:45 pm

Rachel Farley took home the Top Prize for the 15 Minutes to Fame, Jr.contest at the Opry Mills Mall.  She competed against 4 other really talented teens who all did a really good job.  And maybe, had they not been competing against one of the best talents and best voices, they might’ve had a better shot at winning - but of course, Rachel is the best talent and does have one of the best voices there is.  So.  Even a faulty guitar cord, which kept cutting in and out during her second song, couldn’t keep her from losing her professionalism or diminish her ability to just keep impressing everyone.  That’s just who she is.

When the time came for everyone to show their approval by way of clapping - the place went nuts for Rachel - almost to the point I thought she was going to get a “standing-o”.  It was obvious who was going to win.

So congrats to Rachel again, for proving not only how talented you are, or how professional you can be, but for showing - like all real champions - a lot of grace after winning.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, Rachel is going to be a star - no doubt about it.
